Teaching

I believe in engaging students by fostering active learning environments and contextualizing course concepts with real-world problems. I had the opportunity to put these principles into practice during my PhD at Cornell, when I designed and instructed two asynchronous online graduate level courses during the COVID-19 pandemic - CEE 5080: Introduction to Python (co-developed with a professor in Computer Science), and CEE 5081: Storytelling with Data. At Cornell, I also had the opportunity to TA and guest lecture for undergraduate and graduate level courses including CEE 3040: Uncertainty analysis in Engineering, CEE 3510: Environmental Quality Engineering, CEE 6200: Water Resources Systems Engineering, CEE 5970: Risk Analysis and Management and CEE 5980: Decision Analysis. I enjoy teaching, and I am gratified that my efforts were recognized by students and faculty through the award of my department’s annual John E. Perry Teaching Assistant Prize five times.
